As you must have noticed, we have information on Jones. I can only assume that this information came from improper channels, so it's up to us to get her. I'll cover our asses with the DMLE later. I'll say I was working on a hunch.... shit.
Ok this is volunteer only, since we're storming the house of a Death Eater. The more aurors the better, and I suppose I can take some of my trainees. Besides, if you lot get hurt, I can blame a training accident.
And keep your damn mouths shut about this until we get her. The DMLE is already working overtime on this and we don't need Crouch and his cronies in our way.

We heard about a possible Catchlove attack, but there hasn't been any noise yet. That doesn't mean it isn't going to happen. CONSTANT VIGILANCE! I still want to keep a close watch on their place.

I want to come up with a schedule for dueling practice. In light of all the recent injuries, we need to be better prepared in the field. Especially the younger members I'll work on the schedule this week.

Can I ask the two of you to help train these kids? You two are among the older members, and I trust you more that Fletcher and Dearborn as far as training is concerned. I just worry about these kids, you know?

Lily, James, and Deadalus were hurt during patrols, they are in St. Mungo's. I've already alerted their families, so don't worry about that.
So I'm gonna say this, but I hope it won't fall on deaf ears: please please don't do anything rash. We've already almost had ourselves a fiasco because of Dearborn, but we were prepared for that one and frankly, we got lucky.
I don't want to panic you lot, but maybe this will knock some sense into those heads of yours: Diggle and the Potters went up against You-Know-Who himself. Obviously, they didn't go looking for this fight, but still, the point remains that you lot can't go challenging Death Eaters and getting into every bloody fight. You're lucky none of you have been killed.

Look, I know a lot of you are angry and upset, but please please try not to do anything rash. Don't start doubting yourselves, but don't get careless either. What happened to Dorcas wasn't anyone's fault. If anything, it's up to myself and Dumbledore to keep you kids alive, so blame me.
That being said, I agree with Marlene on putting a third on patrols. Fabian's idea about volunteering for specific nights is good, so that Lily isn't swamped.
So keep your eyes peeled. And no one, and I mean NO ONE should go looking for a fight.

Do any of you know anything about this Rue murder? It was ruled a suicide, but the man was an unspeakable. Can't imagine someone with such a career offing themselves. Just seems fishy, can't explain why.

Damn. Sorry I haven't checked in, but this weekend was damn busy. That one murder we know was Death Eaters, but we're not completely sure it was Death Eaters in Knockturn. Or at least that's the "official" DMLE statement. But I know better.
Please tell me someone saw something?

I want at least one member of each patrol team to check in with either me or Dumbledore each week. Either make a post about it on your own journals (like Lily did, again, good work) or make it here, or by owl, or however you want. I don't particularly care.
What I do care about is their movements. So keep an eye out and just let me know what happened. I'll be posting similar entries each Sunday.
Again, our list: Bellatrix Lestrange, Rodolphus Lestrange, Antonin Dolohov, Evan Rosier, Amycus Carrow, Lucius Malfoy, & Walden MacNair.
Lily added Crabe & Goyle. Anyone can add more to this list. I'll keep a running tab of who we suspect.

Alright, so I've noticed some of you voicing concerns over these journals. And Black started making a list of possible Death Eaters.
We need to meet. This weekend. The DMLE is getting nowhere with these attacks and my hands are tied. I'm sending an owl to Dumbledore to see what his schedule may be. But I say we meet regardless of Dumbledore's presence. The enemy is more organized than we are. That needs to change.

Three, count them THREE of my undercover aurors were halted in their efforts last week because of randomly changing hair color. Tell me, how exactly are they supposed to remain undercover when their hair keeps changing color?
And don't even consider playing dumb with me, you little fucker, because I've done my research. Seems like you were quite the prankster at Hogwarts. And even though it took me a week, I found the entrance logs that have you on the premises an hour earlier than your usual arrival time.
Penalty: You are free game for any auror. They have a task, you complete it. No questions asked. Oh, and I was a bit distracted last week. So be prepared for your field test this week. Never know when I might have the sudden urge to shoot you.
And let this be a lesson for the rest of you. NEVER eat anything that you are unsure of its preparation. That includes a random tin of biscuits left in the lounge! Best if you only eat foods you've prepared yourself. UNDERSTAND?

Be prepared for a field test sometime this week. You will need to know repelling charms. Specifically their applications to the muggle weaponry known as "guns." While these weapons are useless against a competant wizard, they can prove fatal to the unprepared. Never know when you might find yourself facing a crazy muggle with a rifle.
Part of your training will involve the use and maintenance of these weapons. Most wizards believe this training to be useless, but I prefer all my aurors to be trained in multiple combat methods. Besides, the oblivators need to learn how to deal with these weapons, so I expect my aurors to learn this as well.

Got another book. Know more about the magic behind these things. Know about privacy hexes and that the bastard talks back.
I can see how this could be a useful communication tool.
Still offer a work of caution here. Don't give out important information on these things. I'd wager these hexes can be broken, if someone's determined enough.
